The Chicago Blackhawks bested the Tampa Bay Lightning by a final score of 2-0 on Monday, clinching the team’s third Stanley Cup in the past six seasons.
Defenseman Duncan Keith and winger Patrick Kane both netted goals for the Hawks, but goalie Corey Crawford’s 23 saves would be the deciding factor for Chicago.
In addition to recording his second shutout of the 2015 playoffs, Crawford also gave a great response when asked how it felt to clinch in front of a home crowd, the first time Chicago had done so since 1938.
