A Change.org petition has been circulating calling for NBC to terminate its relationship with Donald Trump, Fox News reports.
The petition calls for the canceling of Miss USA, Miss Universe and Trump’s flagship series “The Apprentice.”
As of Monday, the petition has garnered more than 215,000 signatures in an effort to catch the attention of NBC’s most powerful executives. The signature goal has been raised to a whopping 300,000. The petition was created in reaction to Trump saying that Mexicans are “bringing drugs, they’re bringing crime, they’re rapists, and some, I assume, are good people.”
As of last week, Univision, the United States’ most popular Spanish network, released a statement saying it would not broadcast Miss USA and Miss Universe due to Trump’s comments.
NBC has said it does not “agree with his positions on a number of issues including his recent comments on immigration.”
