Some anonymous donors are poking fun at Republican presidential candidates by donating money to Planned Parenthood in their names.
Sen. Ted Cruz, Sen. Rand Paul, Jeb Bush, Sen. Marco Rubio and Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal all had donations of various amounts pledged to the organization in their honor, The Washington Post reports.
Cruz and Rubio, who both recently voted in favor of a Senate bill that would defund Planned Parenthood, led the pack with five separate donations made in each of their names.
The Senate bill failed to pass by a slim, 53-46 margin.
Paul had three donations made in his name, Jindal two and Bush one.
Liz Clark, a spokeswoman for Planned Parenthood, told the newspaper the donations were all less than $100.
Clark also said the organization received donations in the name of the Center for Medical Progress, which was responsible for publishing videos purportedly showing a Planned Parenthood representative selling aborted fetus parts.
Those videos created a rallying cry of sorts for the 2016 Republican presidential candidates who want to end federal funding for Planned Parenthood. Meanwhile, Hillary Clinton and other democrats have jumped to defend the group.
