A total of 12 players were sent to the penalty box during a Saturday night game between the Winnipeg Jets and Nashville Predators after a melee started on the ice.
The Predators held a 5-0 lead over the Jets when Jets center Mark Scheifele broke an unspoken rule of hockey by shooting the puck in the net after the whistle was blown. (RELATED: NHL Player Briefly Pauses Fight Instead Of Murdering His Opponent [VIDEO])
The Predators took exception to Scheifele’s actions and soon punches were being thrown and a scrum had begun.
