The WTF* from Morgan Zalot and David Chang at NBC 10 in Philadelphia:
Two zebras escaped from a circus in West Philadelphia on Sunday, leading police on a wild chase for miles through the city…
Police sources said about 2:20 p.m. that one zebra had been caught and the second remained on the lam. The fleeing zebra, according to sources, made it up to City Avenue — more than two miles from where the animals escaped…
There were no reports of any injuries to the animals or to any people, and it was unclear how the zebras escaped.
They escaped because animals are dumb. They don’t know how good they’ve got it, living in a circus. Plenty of food, lots of people paying attention to them, no evil, disgusting lions trying to eat them… But nooooo, that’s not good enough for these prima donnas. If they want to run away, I say let them. See how they like it out there in the real world.
