Detroit Red Wings goalie Jimmy Howard made one of the best saves of the NHL season Sunday night against the New York Rangers.
Howard faced a two-on-zero as two Rangers players rushed toward the net. The Red Wings goalie slid to stop the first threat, leaving the net wide open for the second potential shooter. (SLIDESHOW: Celebrate The Anniversary Of The ‘Miracle On Ice’ With These Historic Pictures)
The second shooter ripped off a shot at what appeared to be an open net, but Howard laid out for the puck and made the incredible save. (SLIDESHOW: This NHL Player’s Girlfriend Is A Sexy Model Almost Too Hot To Handle)
