The Chicago Blackhawks have slapped prospect Garret Ross with an indefinite suspension after he was charged in a revenge porn case.

Ross, who currently plays for the Blackhawks’ American Hockey League team the Rockford IceHogs, was charged after spreading a sexual image of woman that was meant to be kept private. (RELATED: Chicago Blackhawks Prospect Charged In Revenge Porn Case)

“On Saturday afternoon, March 19, 2016, the Chicago Blackhawks and Rockford IceHogs learned of a legal proceeding against IceHogs player Garret Ross. At that time, we excused Garret from team activities pending our preliminary review of the matter. After further review, we have determined to suspend Garret indefinitely pending the outcome of the legal process. Because this is a pending legal proceeding, we will have no further comment at this time,” the Blackhawks said in a statement.

The fifth-round draft pick has scored 20 points for the IceHogs this season. Ross could face up to three years in prison if convicted.
