Donald Trump plans to skip attending Saturday’s Colorado Republican State Convention at the Broadmoor World Arena in Colorado Springs.

Colorado State Republican Party Chairman Steve House told The Denver Post Wednesday that while discussions were happening for a Trump appearance, the plans ultimately collapsed.

“He will not be attending,” Kyle Kohli, communications director for the state GOP told The Post.

The state party will be electing 13 delegates to send to the Republican National Convention. Texas Sen. [crscore]Ted Cruz[/crscore] managed to win six delegates already from Colorado.

Additionally, The Post predicts Cruz will easily pickup the remaining delegates in the state. Cruz will be the sole Republican candidate at the convention.

Colorado is one of two states this election cycle, the other being North Dakota, that did not hold a party preference poll, and instead, chose their delegates at state conventions.
