Hillary Clinton’s campaign manager Robby Mook says, “I don’t think those primary voters in California who have those ballots sitting on their kitchen tables are thinking about email servers right now.”

Appearing on MSNBC’s “Andrea Mitchell Reports” Tuesday, Mook said, “It’s important that we get to the issues that’s matter in this contest: how do we get this economy working for everybody again, how we get wages rising, how we make sure that every child gets an outstanding education.” (WATCH: Napolitano: ‘Ample Evidence’ To Indict Clinton, Only Lynch Or Obama Could Prevent It)

Mitchell said, “There is a memo from John Podesta which acknowledges again that the email, the private server use was a ‘mistake’ and it certainly seems to be much more apologetic and less defensive than the initial statement that came out last week. Do you acknowledge now that there were a number of flaws in what she did pointed out the IG report and that the initial response was probably too defensive.” (RELATED: Clinton Campaign Has A Brand New Explanation For Hillary’s Email Setup)

Mook replied, “Well, look, it’s clear now from the IG report that the rules were very unclear. We know Secretary Powell also used a personal email account. We know that, aides to Secretary Rice did the same. But Hillary has said with all the information she has now, she acknowledges that this was a mistake, she should have done it differently.” (RELATED: Dem. Rep. “But I don’t think voters and I don’t think those primary voters in California who have those ballots sitting on their kitchen tables are thinking about email servers right now.” (RELATED: State Department IG: Clinton Mishandled Emails, Posed Cybersecurity Risk)

“So that’s what we are going to be focused on,” Mook said. “Hillary has acknowledged that this was a mistake and she would have done it differently if she had the benefit of all the information that we have now.”

According to reports, some 22 emails were “too damaging” to release from Clinton’s private email server.
