An Austrian politician faced a social media storm after posting a video where he instruct refugees about how to treat women.

Armin Sippel, a regional chair of Austria’s nationalist Freedom Party (FPÖ), released the video in early June and instantly went viral in Austria. Sippel starts by addressing “Dear asylum seeker” and goes onto explain how to appropriately interact with “our” women.

Sippel uses a mannequin with a blonde wig and short skirt to illustrate what is and isn’t appropriate behavior when it come to physical contact with women. Sippel says it’s not ok to verbally harass or intimidate women, and absolutely forbidden to aggressively touch their arm or breast. When he makes an inappropriate on the mannequin, a sign saying “No” in both German and Arabic pops up on the left side of the screen.

The video attracted much criticism on social media, which caused Sippel to remove it from his Facebook page. Complaints pour in from migrants who felt they were generalized. Women also lashed out at the appearance of the mannequin and the last line of the video, “keep your hands off our women.”

“As a result of the extremely aggressive personal attacks, I decided to take it offline,” Sippel said in a video on his personal Facebook page.

Sippel went on to say he didn’t regret posting the video, and that he felt it was necessary given the Cologne sexual assault scandal and “daily individual cases” in Austria.

FPÖ, like many of their nationalist counterparts across Europe, have grown rapidly during the migrant crisis. (RELATED: Austrian Minister Wants To Set Up Off-Shore Detention Center For Migrants)

The party lost a narrow defeat in the presidential election in May, when Norbert Hofer lost to Green party candidate Alexander Van der Bellen by a few thousand votes.
