A Christian group dressed as green zombies at Toronto’s gay pride parade Sunday to spread the gospel and warn about the homosexual lifestyle.
The Christian group, led by activist Bill Whatcott, infiltrated Toronto’s gay pride parade by dressing up as gay, green zombies, reports Lifesite News. Whatcott paid the $100 registration fee and entered his group as the “Gay Zombies Cannabis Consumers Association.” Whatcott serves as the executive director of Christian Truth Activists.
The group attended the parade to serve as witnesses and to get gay people to repent and accept Jesus Christ. Dressed as green zombies, the groups handed out pamphlets denouncing the homosexual lifestyle disguised as condoms and sex advice.
Whatcott told Lifesite News that dressing as zombies helped the group reach more people than by just standing on the sidelines as a street preacher.
“I asked them if they wanted ‘Zombie safe sex.’ Everyone loved it. But, if you try to give out a Gospel pamphlet, they swear at you and throw slushies on your forehead. But, give them some wackadoddle thing that looks like a condom, and they really can’t grab it fast enough. I had three thousand out in 20 minutes,” Whatcott told Lifesite News.
The pamphlets contained explicit photographs that show the effects of getting AIDS and other STDs. It also encouraged gay people to “abstain from the homosexual lifestyle.”
“Natural law is clear, homosexuality is incompatible with human nature. Disease, death and confusion are the sad and sordid realities of the homosexual lifestyle. The “Gay Zombies” are concerned about the spiritual, psychological and physical welfare of all potential homosexual pride attendees, so we want to give you this accurate information and encourage you to abstain from the homosexuality,” the pamphlet reads.
The group handed out approximately 3,000 pamphlets to attendees of the gay pride parade, according to Whatcott’s website.
