Vince Neil has been charged with battery after assaulting a female autograph seeker in Las Vegas.

On Wednesday, the 55-year-old lead singer of the band Motley Crue was charged with misdemeanor battery following an incident last spring that involved a female asking Nicolas Cage for his autograph close by where Neil was standing, according to Rolling Stone magazine. Following the incident Cage and Neil got into a scuffle outside the Aria hotel in Las Vegas. The end of that altercation was captured by video.

“Stop this shit now,” Cage said.

Officer Michael Rodriguez from Las Vegas police department confirmed the details of what had happened that day.

“[Mr. Neil] and Mr. Cage went to Aria,” Rodgriguez said. “A female was attempting to talk to or get an autograph from Mr. Cage. Mr. Neil subsequently pulled her down to the ground by the hair.”

If convicted of the charges, Neil could face up to six months in prison.
