Rep. Jason Chaffetz tore into the Department of Justice’s decision not to charge Hillary Clinton, arguing that “Lady Justice takes off that blindfold if the name is Clinton.”

Appearing on Fox News’ “America’s Newsroom” on Wednesday, host Martha McCallum asked the chair of the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform about the congressional hearings with Attorney General Loretta Lynch and FBI Director James Comey. “What do you think as you listen to all of this, and you speak to these individuals, what do you think is the reasoning for keeping as much as possible at arms length on both of their parts?” (RELATED: Issa: Lynch ‘Misled The American People’ About Hillary FBI Investigation)

Chaffetz responded, “I think Democrats have a nominee and I worry about the direction that they’re taking. I think Mr. Comey is a very serious-minded person. I appreciate him swiftly coming to Capitol Hill and answering the questions as best he can, but, but, they are blazing new trails. They are treating her different. And I worry there are two tracks of justice. That Lady Justice takes off that blindfold if the name is Clinton. And that I think is at the root of why America is so concerned about this. There are two different standards because if you’re the average Joe, doing your job, sharing classified information you’re probably going to be in handcuffs and you’re probably going to jail.” (RELATED: FBI Recommends ‘NO CHARGES’ For Hillary Clinton [VIDEO])

According to a recent poll, 56 percent of America disagrees with the FBI’s decision not to recommend charges for Hillary Clinton. (RELATED: Majority Of Americans Disagree With FBI’s Decision Not To Charge Clinton)
