Donald Trump said on Thursday that “people will sigh with relief” if President Barack Obama calls out “radical Islamic terror.”

Appearing on Fox News’s “On The Record” with Greta Van Susteren, Trump comment on the attack in Nice, France arguing that that the first think Obama should do is, “say radical if it is and it may not be. And so you know, I want to preface that because for both of us because you are in the same position that I am.” (RELATED: VIDEO: Horrifying Aftermath Of Nice Truck Attack)

“But generally speaking, I don’t think the people come out of Sweden, okay,” Trump said. “It’s probably, possibly but if it is, if it is indeed radical Islamic terrorism, it’s about time that he would say so, okay. It’s about time. Because you are never going to solve this problem unless you can define it and it would be about time.” (RELATED: Obama Lashes Out At Trump, Defends Not Using ‘Radical Islam’ Label)

“People would sigh with relief if he would say it but he doesn’t want to say it,” Trump said. “So let’s see what happens. I mean, it just happened no and let’s see who did it and what it’s all about, but if it is indeed again like in Orlando, like in San Bernardino, like in Paris and like in the World Trade Center, like so many other places, if it’s radical Islamic terrorism, he ought to say it.”

Susteren followed up, “And then what?”

“And then [Obama] not let people into our country, Greta. We are taking people into our country, we don’t know who they are. We can’t let people from terrorist states and all of these people pour into our country because it only takes one or two people to create havoc.” (VIDEO: Trump Calls On Obama To Resign For Not Calling Orlando Attack ‘Radical Islamic Terrorism’)

“And we’re allowing thousands of people. We have no idea who they are. We have to be tough. Look, somebody said it the other day that Trump is the law and order candidate. I’m the border candidate. I’m the great trade candidate. We’ll make great trade deals. But I am indeed the law and order candidate.” (VIDEO: Trump: ‘I Am The Law And Order Candidate’)

According to Trump, Hillary Clinton is “weak and ineffective. She created ISIS with her stupid policies. So, if this turns out to be yet another attack from radical Islam, then we’re going to have to take, our president is going to have to finally admit and do something about it.”

In the immediate aftermath of the attack in Nice, France, Obama released a statement saying, “On behalf of the American people, I condemn in the strongest terms what appears to be a horrific terrorist attack in Nice, France, which killed and wounded dozens of innocent civilians. Our thoughts and prayers are with the families and other loved ones of those killed, and we wish a full recovery for the many wounded.  I have directed my team to be in touch with French officials, and we have offered any assistance that they may need to investigate this attack and bring those responsible to justice. We stand in solidarity and partnership with France, our oldest ally, as they respond to and recover from this attack.”

In the wake of the Orlando terrorist attack, Trump called on President Obama to resign for refusing to call the terrorist attack in Florida “radical Islamic terrorism.”

In response, Obama said, “Calling a threat by a different name does not make it go away. This is a political distraction.”
