Republican vice presidential nominee Mike Pence  told reporters that Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton has no “plan” in a move reminscent of Jeb Bush in the Republican primaries.

“All we get from Hillary Clinton and Tim Kaine are insults. But insults are not a plan,” Pence told Fox and Friends. “American people are responding to the positive agenda that Donald Trump has to make America great again.”

Bush responded to Trump’s attacks in the primaries by telling the would-be Republican nominee, “You are not going to insult your way to the presidency, that’s not going to happen,” in a primary debate in December.

Trump and Pence continue to criticize Clinton for campaigning with ad hominem attacks instead of on issues she supports.  Clinton’s August “alt-right” speech called Trump and those who support him racist.

Trump is “a man with a long history of racial discrimination, who traffics in dark conspiracy theories drawn from the pages of supermarket tabloids and the far, dark reaches of the internet,” said Clinton.

“I don’t need to twist or spin Donald Trump’s words at all. Because once Americans hear his words just as he said them, they’ll reach the same conclusion that national security leaders — Democrats, Republicans and independents — have reached,” Democratic Vice Presidential nominee Tim Kaine said about Trump at a rally in South Carolina.

“Trump has offered nothing but empty promises and divisive rhetoric. Under his leadership, we’d be unrecognizable to the rest of the world. And we’d be far less safe.”
