Stephanie Ruhle revealed a surprising disconnect between Hillary Clinton and one of her key demographics on MSNBC Tuesday morning.

During an interview with former Michigan Governor Jennifer Granholm, Ruhle noted that young women have told her that they don’t feel a personal connection with the Democratic presidential nominee.

“They felt very proud about a woman getting the nomination, but they didn’t feel connected to her,” Ruhle explained.

“I want to actually ask the crowd behind me,” she continued while turning to the live audience in the background. “So, Hillary Clinton as a candidate. Do you feel connected to her? I’m asking the women in the room.”

“No!” the ladies emphatically answered.

“Why do you think this disconnect is?” Ruhle then posed to Granholm.

“I wish I knew,” she begrudgingly responded.
