Donald Trump said he would have campaigned to win the popular vote — and would have won it — if that’s what decided the outcome of the election.
In a series of tweets Wednesday morning, the president-elect made it clear that he was irked that no one was talking about how he spent “FAR LESS MONEY on the win than Hillary on the loss!”
“Campaigning to win the Electoral College is much more difficult & sophisticated than the popular vote,” he tweeted. “Hillary focused on the wrong states!”

Trump’s tweets come after a final vote tally revealed that Hillary Clinton won the popular vote by just under 3 million votes.
On Monday, Trump received 304 electoral votes while Clinton only secured 227 because some of her electors voted for other candidates.
