Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs Adel al-Jubeir heaped praise on President Trump’s trip to Saudi Arabia Monday, calling it “phenomenal.”
Fox News’ Bret Baier caught up with Adel al-Jubeir and asked him his thoughts of Trump’s visit, which was the president’s first international trip since taking office.
“It was a phenomenal trip, phenomenally successful…history was made, it was the first visit by a president to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia as his first trip abroad,” the foreign minister said.
“[Trump] attended an unprecedented, historic summit that brought in all the Muslim countries, all the Arab countries, and the United States,” he continued. “He changed the nature of the dialogue between the Muslim world and the United States.”
Trump’s speech to Muslim leaders called for the countries to join together to fight Islamic extremism and state-financed terror.
“He set the foundation for the creation of a partnership to fight extremism and terrorism and terror financing…and so overall it was an incredible success,” Adel al-Jubeir said of the speech.
