A Georgetown University professor said Sunday that “ALL white people are racist,” “ALL men are sexist,” and “ALL cis people are transphobic.”

Preston Mitchum, a law professor at Georgetown University, made the remarks on his Twitter account, according to Campus Reform.

“Yes, ALL white people are racist,” said Mitchum. “Yes, ALL men are sexist. Yes, ALL cis people are transphobic. We have to unpack that. That’s the work!”

“Everyone has bias, stereotypes, & judgments no matter who you are,” explained the professor in a subsequent tweet. “What makes this racist, transphobic, sexist is when you add power.”

Aside from commenting on bigotry, Mitchum has also shared his thoughts on law enforcement.

“I really, really, really, really, really, really hate cops,” said the professor. “Hate them. The power. The unfettered abuse. The narcissism. Hate hate them.”

Before prompting users to enter a message on his site’s contact form, Mitchum asks for their preferred pronoun, race, sexual orientation, and whether or not they identify as transgender.

“White people writ large have been fed racist thoughts,” said the professor to Campus Reform. “Because of that, there’s unlearning to do. … The problem is that people in dominant groups are so used to being defensive, that they aren’t even taking a step back to even consider that maybe, just maybe the marginalized community is right.”

The Daily Caller News Foundation reached out to Mitchum for comment but received none in time for publication.
