Chad Bettis is a right handed pitcher for the Colorado Rockies who made his major league debut in 2013 against the Atlanta Braves. In December 2016 Bettis got some news that no one ever wants to hear. He was diagnosed with testicular cancer.

In March 2017 he was told he would have to go through chemotherapy again after the cancer had spread. Bettis was finally done with chemotherapy after going through treatments twice and now he had back in the MLB. At the end of March, his daughter was born.

On August 14, 2017, he made it back on the mound to pitch against the Atlanta Braves. If you thought this story was impressive after Bettis beat cancer twice, it is about to get even more impressive.

He pitched severn scoreless innings, did not allow any runs, and had two strikeouts. Bettis has not been done with chemotherapy for four months and he just had one of the best games of his career.

Bettis is an inspiration to all of us and got praise from many fellow athletes and even actor Ben Stiller.

This story has come full circle, as Bettis had his MLB debut against the Atlanta Braves in 2013.
