Wealthy Model Kate Upton Comes Out As Anti-Gun

Kate Upton appeared to be very anti-gun in a recent Instagram post.

She posted the following quote from feminist Gloria Steinem in response to the Las Vegas massacre that left more than 50 dead:

I want any young men who buy a gun to be treated like young women who seek an abortion. Think about it: a mandatory 48-hours waiting period, written permission from a parent or a judge, a note from a doctor proving that he understands what he is about to do, time spent watching a video on individual and mass murders, traveling hundreds of miles at his own expense to the nearest gun shop, and walking through protestors holding photos of loved ones killed by guns, protestor who call him a murderer. After all, it makes more sense to do this for young men seeking guns than for young women seeking an abortion. No young woman needing reproductive freedom has ever murdered a roomful of strangers.

This is honestly one of the dumbest comparisons I’ve ever seen. Guns are incredibly regulated. This fantasy that people are just buying machine guns at Walmart and turning around to massacre people is simply false. Her entire premise with this dumb post is that if you buy a gun then you’re thinking about killing people. Complete insanity.

Why am I not surprised a wealthy model now thinks she’s an expert on gun laws and how they should reflect abortion laws. This might surprise some of the elites in this country, but several states have laws requiring waiting periods. I guess she just didn’t have the time to do two minutes of research before posting an anti-gun quote.
