Harvey Weinstein’s former assistant broke a non-disclosure form to speak out about his alleged sexual harassment.
Zelda Perkins spoke to the Financial Times to tell about her experiences with the disgraced producer. Weinstein’s sexual harassment to Perkins allegedly began the first day she was alone in a Miramax office in London with him, the news outlet reported Monday.
“He went out of the room and came back in his underwear,” said Perkins, adding: “He asked me if I would give him a massage. Then he asked if he could massage me.”
The sexual harassment went on for years, according to Perkins. Weinstein would allegedly walk around the room naked asking her to watch him bathe. He also allegedly tried to pull her into his bed.
Perkins took action after a colleague reported similar sexual harassment allegations during a Venice film festival in September 1998, Page Six reported. Perkins recalls that her colleague was “in shock and crying” and was “furious” over Weinstein’s actions to another colleague.

Two women split a settlement of approximately $330,000 and signed agreements barring them from speaking publicly about Weinstein’s alleged sexual harassment. Perkins wanted to bring his behavior to the public, but lawyers warned that “he would try to destroy me and my family.”
Perkins decided to come forward with the non-disclosure agreement now because she believes confidential agreements should be “regulated in a fair way.” At least seven other alleged victims have signed non-disclosure agreements with Weinstein.
