Deadline explained, that the upcoming spec is a movie that details a historic day.
Let Her Speak covers that historic day and how a onetime teen mom who became a Harvard-trained lawyer showed the courage to change her own life, along with the lives of American women.
Four years ago, Davis donned pink running shoes and stood on the floor of the Texas state capitol, speaking for 11 hours and successfully stopped the passage of Senate bill 5. It would have among other things, banned abortion after 20 weeks.
The move brought her to prominence in the Democratic party and made her a progressive darling. Many hoped that the popularity meant she was the next rising star, but when Davis decided to run for Governor in 2014 she lost to Republican Greg Abbott in a landslide.
