Prince Harry and Meghan Markle announced their engagement early Monday morning and if the girls around the world weren’t jealous already, they will be after taking a look at her ring.
The British royal designed the three-diamond engagement ring for his future bride himself and Markle has to be happy with the way it turned out.
Just hours after announcing their engagement to the world, the prince and his fiancée appeared for a photo-op at the Sunken Gardens outside of Kensington Palace where everyone got a first look at Markle’s stunning ring. (SLIDESHOW: 18 Times Meghan Markle Already Looked Like A Royal)
The center stone came from Botswana, where the couple went for vacation together this summer. The other two stones were selected from Princess Diana’s diamond collection, according to People magazine. Surely Harry’s late mother would have loved to see her diamonds passed on to her youngest son’s future wife.
Prince Harry and Markle first met in the summer of 2016 and got engaged earlier this month in London. Their wedding will take place in the spring of 2018 and will be the biggest royal wedding since Prince William and Kate Middleton were married in 2011.
