Tennessee athletic director John Currie was reportedly fired Friday morning after overseeing an absolute dumpster fire of a football coaching search.
The news was broken by multiple Tennessee reporters.

Currie absolutely had to go. You can’t lead arguably the worst coaching search in the history of college football and expect to stick around for very long. He created an absolute disaster for the school, and that has serious consequences. Trying to secretly hire Greg Schiano and having it blow up in your face is the exact kind of thing that costs an athletic director his job.
