Former U.S. Olympic gymnastics doctor Larry Nassar was sentenced to at least 40 years of prison Wednesday for molesting several young girls, but some members of the mainstream media think the real issue is President Trump.
ABC News chief political analyst Matthew Dowd tweeted:
If you cheer Nassar being held accountable for his actions, but refuse to hold the President accountable for his predatory actions towards multiple women then you are a part of the problem of an enabling culture.

Hollywood screenwriter Randi Mayem Singer tweeted:
If he weren’t going to jail for 175 years, Donald Trump and the GOP would likely support Larry Nassar for the US Senate.

Documentary filmmaker Jeremy Newberger tweeted:
It will be no surprise when Trump announces he is pardoning Larry Nassar.

Feminist journalist Courtney Enlow seemed to equate Nassar and President Trump:
I don’t care one bit about how progressives are supposed to be the bigger person. Say whatever you want about Nassar, and Trump for that matter. Save your concern and consideration for those who need it. We don’t need to be gentle when dealing with flying active chainsaws.

Nassar was sentenced to 40 to 175 years for molesting dozens of young girls. Judge Rosemarie Aquilina told him, “You do not deserve to walk outside of a prison ever again.” (RELATED: Dirty Gymnastics Doc Sentenced To 175 Years)
