House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi referred to the White House immigration proposal — that would give almost 2 million immigrants a pathway to citizenship — as a “campaign to make America white again” Friday.

“Let me just say what I said last night: that plan is a campaign to make America white again,” Pelosi told the United States Conference of Mayors.

“It’s a plan that says over 50% of the current legal immigration will be cut back, that many people will be sent out of the country. If you read through it, you’re thinking, do they not understand that immigration has been the constant reinvigoration of America?” (RELATED: Pelosi Team’s Twitter Account Smears Stephen Miller As ‘White Supremacist’ Who ‘Must Be Removed’)

The White House proposal gives a relatively large concession to Democrats by offering a pathway to citizenship to a projected 1.8 million immigrants in the country illegally. Also contained in the plan is $25 billion in funding for a border wall, an end to chain migration and ending the diversity lottery. (RELATED: ‘This Is A Mass Amnesty Bill, Full Stop:’ Restrictionists Blast White House DACA Proposal)
