Democratic congressional candidates for Arizona’s 2nd district embraced the party’s revolt against House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, all agreeing they would not support her bid for speaker.

WATCH:

In a panel this past weekend, caught on video by America Rising PAC, all of the candidates for the second district in Arizona declined to raise their hands when asked if they would support a bid for Rep. Pelosi to become Speaker of the House.

“Now it is time for a lightning round,” the moderator said. “Will you support Nancy Pelosi for Speaker of the House?”

None of the panelists raised their hands and the crowd cheered in approval.

The front-runner in the race, Ann Kirkpatrick, appeared to have flipped on her previous support for Pelosi, perhaps recognizing her constituents’ distaste for the current Minority Leader. Kirkpatrick voted for Pelosi for Speaker on four previous occasions and has received at least $77,000 in campaign donations from Pelosi’s political entities.

However, Kirkpatrick’s staff claimed that she didn’t understand the question format and would remain a supporter of Pelosi.

The panel is just one sign of the Democratic revolt against Pelosi, as members of her party have distanced themselves from her “crumbs” comments and several even called for new party leadership. (RELATED: Nancy Pelosi Losing Control Of House Democrats)
