Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker Ryan Shazier appeared to be progressing nicely from a spinal injury Wednesday night during the Penguins playoff game.
Shazier helped get the crowd into the game before it started, and looked like he was nothing but smiles.

Right before puck drop, Ryan Shazier led the crowd in a “Let’s Go Pens” chant. Needless to say, they went absolutely wild. Starting tonight off on a good note #3elieve #Shalieve -MC

It’s nice to see that Shazier is out and about after the horrific and terrifying injury he suffered against the Bengals a few months back. That was one of the scariest things I’ve ever seen in pro sports.
It’s still way too early to tell if Shazier will ever play in the NFL again. He’s still in a wheelchair, and clearly has a very long way to go. Maybe he doesn’t even intend to play again.
At the very least, it’s great to see him recovering from a life-changing injury.
