An illegal Honduran immigrant in the U.S. was charged with killing two women after he reportedly dumped their bodies on the street in two different instances, according to the Miami Herald.

Julian Carlos Hernandez-Caseres was arrested on Saturday for the murders, according to a Monday announcement from Miami police.

Hernandez-Caseres was captured with the help of ICE, who had an immigration detainer on him.

“ICE is focused on identifying, arresting and removing public safety threats, such as convicted criminal aliens and gang members, as well as individuals who have violated our nation’s immigration laws,” Nestor Yglesias, a spokesperson for U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) wrote in a Monday statement to the Miami Herald.

The two women, Ann Farrin, 41, and Neidy Roche, 39, were found dead with visible trauma to their bodies on June 13 and March 2, respectively. Police connected the two cases using similarities in the homicides and DNA evidence.

“She is a daughter, a niece, and a mother whom was loved. We are saddened to learn of what happened and disgusted to know this man had no regard for her life and dumped her on the side of the road the way he did. Regardless of the lifestyle she chose she didn’t deserve that and hope he is put away so he cannot harm anyone else,” Farrin’s family said in a Monday statement released to the Miami Herald. The arrest comes on the heels of criticism of ICE and the Trump Administration for its zero-tolerance policy, which calls for the prosecution of all illegal immigrants crossing the border. President Donald Trump has defended the policy, tweeting that Democrats critical of his immigration stance should “start thinking about the people devastated by Crime coming from illegal immigration” on Monday.
