Ivanka Trump praised President Donald Trump Wednesday for “taking critical action ending family separation” on the Mexico border.
“Thank you @POTUS for taking critical action ending family separation at our border. Congress must now act + find a lasting solution that is consistent with our shared values;the same values that so many come here seeking as they endeavor to create a better life for their families,” the first daughter tweeted after Trump announced that he would be signing something soon that will keep families together.

The comments were the first ones from the White House advisor after “The View” host Meghan McCain called out the first daughter over her silence regarding immigration officials temporarily separating children from their parents who have crossed the border illegally.
“There’s a lot of people on the right pushing back on this,” McCain shared. “I actually thought this morning when I was watching –there’s a horrible audio that came out of children, screaming, crying, which I don’t understand how you can listen to that and not feel somewhat differently about this. But where is Ivanka [Trump] in all this? Because she’s all for women and mothers and she has a White House role and a job. And I’m interested that her whole platform has been women and mothers, and she doesn’t have anything to say in this.”
