President Donald Trump became the 11th president to meet Queen Elizabeth of the U.K. during a working visit to the country Wednesday.
The president entered the grounds of Windsor Castle with First Lady Melania Trump in a Range Rover. The couple exited the car and walked to a receiving dais where the Queen awaited them without any other royal escort. The Queen’s husband Prince Phillip recently retired from official royal duties after nearly half a century.

“The Queen has met 11 out of 12 serving U.S. presidents during her reign”, the Royal Communications Office told the White House press pool. “The only one she didn’t meet was President Johnson. She has hosted several other presidents at Windsor: President and Mrs. Obama (Windsor 2016), President and Mrs. George W. Bush (Windsor 2008) and President and Mrs. Reagan (Windsor 1982).”
