Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton called Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh’s behavior during last week’s Senate committee hearing “quite out of bounds.”

Kavanaugh vigorously and at times angrily defended himself against allegations of sexual misconduct. At The Atlantic Festival, Clinton said she doesn’t remember “anything like that.”

“In this case, though, the performance, the behavior was quite out of bounds. I don’t ever remember anything like that,” Clinton said.

“There is such a thing that you seek in judges of a judicious temperament,” Clinton continued, “People who are able to discipline themselves to be open to the evidence wherever it might lead, to be fair to all the litigants who are appearing before them.”

Clinton’s comments about Kavanaugh come after he suggested the Democrats are pushing these allegations against him in retaliation for Donald Trump winning the 2016 presidential election during his testimony.
