The Washington State Cougars got slapped with a massive fine after fans stormed the field against Oregon.
According to Brett McMurphy, WSU will have to pay a fine of $25,000 for the storming of the field against the Ducks a couple weekends back.
Washington State fined $25,000 by Pac-12 for rushing the field after Oregon win on Oct. 20

As you all already know, I hate the idea of storming the field. I think it’s absurdly stupid, and it minimizes your own respect for your team. Great teams expect to win and don’t storm the field. That’s simply a fact. If that’s where WSU and Mike Leach want to be, then that’s how they have to behave. (RELATED: The Latest AP College Football Poll Is Here. Find Out Where Your Team Ranks)
Now, having said all of that, getting fined for $25,000 for storming the field is also equally stupid. If you’re going to get fined, you might as well go completely full send and just not care one bit.

If I’m the Cougars athletic director or the president of WSU, I’m more than happy to pay this fine. Our football team is rolling, we’re ranked super high and we control the PAC-12. In the long run $25,000 is nothing, but we might as well burn the field down if we’re going to get fined anyways.
