The ratings for the “Monday Night Football” game between the Saints and Panthers were absolutely huge.

According to a press release from ESPN, the 12-9 Saints win scored an overnight rating of a 9.1, which means just more than nine percent of households with a television tuned in. That’s a 40 percent bump from the game in the same slot last season.

Once again, the ratings for the NFL continue to dominate. This past “Sunday Night Football” game put up a 12.5, and now the MNF matchup followed through with big numbers for ESPN.

The NFL executives must be so happy right now. There was once upon a time where it looked like the numbers would never pull out of their nosedive. (RELATED: Here Are The Best Moments From Week 15 Of The NFL Season)

Now, the ratings are surging and the NFL is looking as strong as it ever has in recent memory.

I really hope Kaepernick is noticing how much the league is doing now that he’s no longer a distraction. The NFL really suffered for the two years that national anthem protests swept across the league.

That’s no longer the case, and the league is thriving. Soak it up, Kaepernick. Your damage could only go so far! I think it’s finally safe for me to declare that pro football is officially back at the top in America!
