Joe Scarborough claimed President Donald Trump will not seek reelection in 2020 on “Morning Joe” Thursday, adding the president is only interested in lining his own pockets.

Scarborough was discussing Trump’s foreign policy motives and claimed the he only acts on his own self interest. (RELATED: Joe Scarborough Continues To Dish Out Presidential Predictions About 2020)

“Follow the money. As always, when you look at foreign policy, why is he taking it too easy on the Saudis? Because the Saudis gave him millions and millions of dollars. As he said, they buy a lot of his toys,” Scarborough said.

WATCH:

“Why is he taking it easy on Russia? Because as the son said, ‘We get most of our money from Russia.’ And God knows, Robert Mueller knows, too, all the other money that Donald Trump has gotten from Russia. So we see that he does Vladimir Putin a favor, undermining U.S. foreign policy.”

Scarborough also claimed Trump’s primary concern is to enhance his personal wealth and said he has no interest in leading the country.

“Again, as we always say here, it’s not about foreign policy and it’s not about political money. It’s about his money,” he said. “I’ll say it again. He’s not running for re-election. Everything he’s doing right now is to line his pockets two years from now.”

This isn’t the first time Scarborough has said Trump won’t seek reelection. He told Democrats on Dec. 5 to prepare to face Nikki Haley in the 2020 general election and on Tuesday he said if Trump did decided to run he’d “lose badly.”
