The Baltimore Ravens have traded quarterback Joe Flacco to the Denver Broncos.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported the following Wednesday:

The Baltimore Ravens have an agreement in principle to trade former Super Bowl MVP Joe Flacco to the Denver Broncos, league sources told ESPN on Wednesday.

The trade cannot be officially processed until the new NFL league year begins March 13.

The teams are prohibited from commenting on the deal or the terms surrounding it. When the deal is completed, it likely will be for a mid-round pick, sources told ESPN.

Well, that didn’t take long at all. Flacco is out the door, he’s going to Denver, and now, it’s 100-percent the Lamar Jackson Show in Baltimore. (RELATED: A Super Bowl Winning Quarterback Is Expected To Soon Be A Free Agent)

This is actually a great situation for everybody involved. The Super Bowl-winning quarterback gets a fresh start with a team that needs his services, and Jackson gets to now take all the reps for the Ravens without any kind of cloud hanging over his head.

Flacco gets to keep making a ton of money in Denver and the Ravens move forward with their plans. Literally, everybody is coming out on top.

The question now is how much the dual-threat quarterback under center for the Ravens can grow. If he can get a bit more accurate, refine his passing game and take the next step toward his progression, then the Ravens could be insanely dangerous.

Only time will tell, but things are look extremely bright in Baltimore. There’s plenty to celebrate if you’re a fan in purple and black.
