The Arizona Cardinals will have a private workout session with Kyler Murray.

Some eyebrows were raised after head coach Kliff Kingsbury, the general manager and team owner all missed Murray’s pro day Wednesday.

However, fans hoping the Cardinals select the Oklahoma Heisman winner shouldn’t worry too much, because they’re bringing him in for a workout of their own. (RELATED: Kyler Murray Measures In At Over 5’10” At The Combine)

According to Joel Klatt Wednesday, the star quarterback will do a workout for the Cardinals at some point next week.

I suppose there’s really no point in going to his pro day and then immediately bringing him in for a workout in private.

If you’re going to do it behind closed doors, then that’s really all you need.

I still can’t believe that I floated the idea of the Cardinals hiring Kingsbury and then drafting Murray first overall months ago, and now we’re sitting here with that looking like an imminent event.

I know there are plenty of critics of Murray, but I couldn’t care less. I think he’s going to tear up it up in the league.

Unless something disastrous happens, I don’t see anybody else going first overall.
