Sunny Hostin claimed Monday that she was glad former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton was raising concerns about Democratic Hawaii Rep. Tulsi Gabbard being a Russian asset.

During a segment of ABC’s “The View,” both Hostin and cohost Joy Behar — over protests from fellow cohost Abby Huntsman — argued that Clinton was providing helpful information to Democratic primary voters.

“I mean for me, honestly, Hillary’s dead on with so many things. She told us about Russia, about the probable interference. She was Secretary of State. She has deep world knowledge of the issues. I thought, where’s the lie?” Hostin began. “Tulsi is sort of the Trojan horse in this. She’s polling only at 1.2%, yet she’s still in the race. You have her being touted by people like Fox News personalities like Tucker Carlson.”

Gabbard, who has faced similar attacks from media personalities on CNN, made a few appearances on Tucker Carlson’s Fox News show to discuss that — saying that he understood what it was like to be under constant attack.

“She’s endorsed by sort of the Russians,” Hostin continued, noting that she had denounced the endorsement of white supremacist David Duke but had not done so with regard to Russian bot sites that appeared to support her. “There have been about 20 Russian bot websites that have supported her since she’s announced her run for the presidency.” (RELATED: Sunny Hostin Says Kamala Harris Premeditated Attack On Biden)

“She tweeted back and called Hillary a warmonger, okay?” Joy Behar added. “So that does not do anything for me. She hasn’t denied it. She hasn’t said anything in her tweets. ‘How dare you? It’s outrageous. Of course, I’m not.’ She didn’t say that. She’s just going after Hillary … I don’t say that Tulsi is an agent. I just think that she could be a useful idiot the way Trump is a useful idiot to the Russians.”

Behar went on to suggest that the Russians might be using Gabbard to help the Republicans win because “the Republican Party knows they cannot win without interference from Russia and maybe voter suppression.”

“I read this completely differently,” Huntsman cut in, adding, “Hillary Clinton, she sounded like she had an ax to grind in 2016. If you have played the political game, how can you be this clueless? … It gives the Russians exactly what they want. They want the Democratic Party to be divided.”

Huntsman continued, saying that Gabbard was reaching people other Democrats might not. “She adds something unique to the party. In my opinion, what they’re missing is the middle of the country … she’s attracting people that might vote for Trump.”

“Hillary Clinton could be smarter,” Huntsman concluded. “If you are going to throw stones from the sidelines which I hate politicians if you are not in the race, then be more tactful about it when you speak. You’re hurting your own party when you are doing that.”

“I love that she’s doing that,” Hostin shot back.
