“Karen” might be the worst movie ever made.

The film has been blowing up Twitter ever since the trailer dropped, and it needs to be seen to be believed. I’m not sure I’ve ever seen something so whacked out in my life. (REVIEW: ‘Westworld’ Season 3 Ends With The Possible Deaths Of Multiple Characters)

Deadline wrote the following about the plot:

Coke Daniels (His, Hers & the Truth) directs the feature about Karen Drexler (Manning), a racist white woman who makes it her personal mission to displace the new Black family that has just moved in next door to her. Community activist Malik (Hardrict) and his wife Imani (Burke) are the couple who have just moved to the Atlanta suburb, but they won’t be backing down without a fight.

You can watch the trailer below.

This trailer honestly looks like something you’d expect to see out of a few comedians making a parody of “Get Out.” It’s that bad.

It’s not just that it’s bad. It’s the fact that it’s so obviously trying to be serious that it’s hysterical. “There she is slaving away in the kitchen” was an actual line said in the trailer as ominous music played. There is a soap dispenser with a confederate flag on it!

I couldn’t make this nonsense up if I tried.

What the hell has happened to Hollywood? Where did all the good movies go? We went from pumping out hits to making this hot garbage.

Titling the character Karen with no sense of humor or self-awareness in the trailer is just too much to believe. I honestly didn’t think this was real until I saw the Deadline article.

I can’t seem to find a release date anywhere online for “Karen,” which might be a good thing. Maybe it’ll get shelved before the American public has to watch it.
