In any normal election cycle, each political party will try to avoid some glaring issue that can be hung around its neck like a proverbial albatross, sinking its chances at victory.

The COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, Obamacare in 2010 and the Iraq war in 2008 are all good examples. Going into 2022, it appears Democrats could have three such issues that define the election and drive out masses of Republican voters to take back the House and Senate.
