ESPN star Todd McShay won’t be on TV in the near future.

Fans were very concerned over the weekend when something appeared to be wrong with McShay while he was working the sideline of a college football game. (RELATED: David Hookstead Is The True King In The North When It Comes To College Football)

The football expert tweeted Tuesday afternoon, “I am going to take some time away to focus on my health and my family. Thank you ESPN for being so supportive and for all the well wishes – I can’t wait to be back on the sidelines soon.”

It’s also worth noting that in the previous season when Wisconsin played Northwestern, McShay appeared ill and unable to speak normally.

While McShay didn’t specify what the medical situation was, I think it’s safe to assume something is not right.

Now, he’s going to step away from the spotlight in order to get it figured out.

Hopefully, McShay can tackle whatever the problems he’s facing might be and return to ESPN better than ever before.

He’s an incredibly intelligent man and you never want to see anyone publicly struggle the way he has on repeated occasions.

Let’s all keep our fingers crossed his story has a very happy ending.
