A paramedic is facing criminal charges after crashing an ambulance and killing a patient who was being transported, according to 13WMAZ.
Kevin McCorvey, the 34-year-old who was driving the ambulance on Friday, overturned the vehicle into a ditch in Fairburn, Georgia, 13WMAZ reported. When law enforcement arrived on the scene, an officer broke the window to help those inside the ambulance, which included the driver, a patient and a passenger.
Wilton Thomason, 66, was in the back unrestrained when he was being transported. He was given CPR by McCorvey after the patient went into cardiac arrest, according to the driver. A medic declared Thomason dead after arriving, 13WMAZ reported. (RELATED: Drug-Addled Colorado State Student Steals Ambulance, Crashes, Masturbates Furiously In Police Station)
