A former youth sports coach in Kailua, Hawaii, was sentenced to 20 years in prison Thursday for producing child pornography.
U.S. District Judge Leslie Kobayashi sentenced 43-year-old Rian Ishikawa during a court hearing, according to KITV 4. After the 20 years, he will be under supervised release for an additional 15 years.
Ishikawa was arrested on June 2020, and pleaded guilty to six counts of child porn production in February 2022, according to KITV 4. In his plea agreement, he stated that from November 2012 to July 2015, he produced videos exploiting six children ages nine to 11, the outlet reported at the time.
Evidence first came to the attention of Rian Ishikawa’s email provider in November 2019. He was then reported to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children and to the Homeland Security Investigations.

The victims were children of Ishikawa’s friends and also kids who participated in various youth sports teams he coached in Kailua, according to Star Advertiser.
Evidence first surfaced in November 2019 from Ishikawa’s email provider who reported him to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children and to Homeland Security Investigations, according to Star Advertiser.
