Republican National Committee Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel accused Google of censoring GOP emails during a Wednesday appearance on Fox Business Network.
“We are very seriously looking at how we can sue Google. Google controls 53 percent of the emails in the United States, and they are suppressing…Republican Get Out The Vote emails ahead of this election. We’ve known this for the past 10 months. The last four days of every month, all of our emails, go undeliverable. Zero percent deliverability,” McDaniel told “Mornings With Maria” host Maria Bartiromo. “This is outrageous.”
“It is voter suppression by Big Tech. And we have to find a way to hold them accountable. The RNC is looking to sue. We’re hoping to have an announcement soon on that,” McDaniel continued. “But this is another reason why we need Republicans to take back the House and the Senate because we need to find a way to keep Big Tech’s thumb off the scale and our elections and our democracy.”
“We enable political committees and other organizations to reach their constituents, donors, and key audiences via email,” a Google spokesperson told the Daily Caller News Foundation. “When Gmail users say that they don’t want to receive an email, we place the email in the spam folder, politics or political affiliation plays no role in this determination…we recently launched a Federal Election Commission approved pilot program with a small number of campaigns to study whether these changes improve the user experience during this election period. We will continue to listen and respond to feedback.”
McDaniel then brought up Twitter’s censorship of the New York Post’s reporting on the contents of Hunter Biden’s laptop that was later confirmed by the Daily Caller News Foundation.
The Federal Elections Commission cleared Twitter of wrongdoing in September 2021. The Washington Post reported the laptop was authentic in March 2022.

“The RNC actually before the election, we filed an FEC complaint against Twitter for suppressing the Hunter Biden story, and limiting what the American people knew, but now we know Joe Biden met with Hunter Biden’s associates 17 different times. Hunter Biden clearly monetized his dad’s position as vice president with countries like China,” McDaniel told “Mornings With Maria” host Maria Bartiromo. “Don’t you think it’s important we know — that we know the president of the United States has compromised through his son with countries like China? This is something that the American people deserve to know before the 2020 election, they did not because of the government and because of Big Tech.”
“Everybody is using Gmail. They don’t know that Google is censoring Republican emails. We’re telling people to register to vote, to get out to vote,” McDaniel said. “We just — we just tried to send them in Virginia and Minnesota, they suppressed 9.9 million of our emails last month.”
“We are trying to raise public awareness. People should be aware that if you have Gmail right now, Google is suppressing your turnout emails and your registration emails from the Republican Party,” McDaniel said. “And it’s not just a little bit Maria, it’s not going down to 5 percent or 10 percent. It’s 0 percent deliverability.”
