They couple has been dating for over a decade and share two daughters — Esmeralda, 8, and Amada, 6 — but they have never revealed whether or not they ever officially tied the knot. The tattoo that Mendes put on full display suggests they may have made their relationship status official behind the scenes. The ink says “de Gosling,” which some say is a nod to Mendes’ Hispanic heritage. It’s customary for married Hispanic women to add their husband’s last name to theirs by using the word “de” which means “of,” according to Page Six.

The 48-year-old model and actress made no qualms about her desire for the world to know about this tattoo. She took to Instagram Monday morning and posted a photograph of herself with her arm crossed in front of her face and prominently showed off the tattoo on the inner portion of her wrist.
