Netflix released the trailer for “Harry & Meghan” Monday, and the short teaser shows Harry pushing back against the royals for the way they apparently treated his wife.

The clip starts with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle sitting in a car together and looking exasperated while Harry narrates in a voiceover. “It’s really hard to look back at it now and go, ‘What on Earth happened?'” A voice then cuts in and references Markle becoming “a royal rock star” before the camera pans back to Markle.

“And then…” she begins, snapping her fingers.

“Everything changed,” Harry says.

The trailer shows how the chaos of crowds and cameras seemingly invaded Harry and Markle’s lives.

“There’s a hierarchy of the family,” Harry says in the clip. “You know, there’s leaking, but there’s also planting of stories.”

“There was a war against Meghan to suit other people’s agendas,” a woman says to the camera.

“It’s about hatred. It’s about race,” another man says.

Harry appears to take a stand against his family in the trailer, calling out the apparent inadequacies of the royal lifestyle and the purported rules that come with engagement. “It’s a dirty game. The pain and suffering of women marrying into this institution, this feeding frenzy.”

The documentary seems to juxtapose the chaotic swarms of people around Harry and Markle with the same frenzy that surrounded Harry’s mother, Princess Diana. (RELATED: Meghan Markle’s Oral Sex Scene On ‘90210’ Resurfaces After She Trashes Her ‘Bimbo’ ‘Deal Or No Deal’ Gig)

“I realized, ‘They’re never gonna to protect you,'” Markle says in the trailer, apparently talking about the royal family.

“I was terrified. I didn’t want history to repeat itself,” Harry says over footage of Diana’s life as a royal.

Harry then declares at the end of the ad, “No one knows the full truth. We know the full truth.”

The first volume of the Netflix special is slated for release Thursday.
