This World Cup has been absolutely insane.

In the 2022 FIFA World Cup Quarter-finals, Brazil and Croatia squared off, and after an intense game that went into extra time, it was the No. 1 ranked Brazilians who suffered the heartbreaking penalty shootout defeat, 1-1 (4-2 PK).

Quiet throughout the entire World Cup, Neymar finally showed up when he hit a goal to put Brazil up 1-0 that everybody, including myself, thought was the winner of extra-time — Neymar pulled off the goal after a nice little skip that saw him pass Croatia goalkeeper Dominik Livakovic.

Then, with only four minutes left on the clock, Bruno Petkovic hit an equalizer to tie the game up 1-1 for Croatia, with the goal coming off of a deflected strike.

The two then faced off in penalty kicks. Croatia was on point, hitting all four of their shots, but for Brazil, it would be devastation. Rodrygo missed the first PK for Brazil, and after hitting the next two, Marquinhos would miss another for the South American powerhouse after smashing the post, giving the Croatians the 4-2 penalty shootout victory.

When the United States got eliminated in the Round of 16 to Netherlands, I decided to ride with Brazil — I love the country, the beaches, the girls, the swag of their soccer jerseys, and their connection to my beauty of Miami, Florida. And just like that, they’re out.

I hope I don’t jinx them by saying this, but I guess I’m riding with Argentina now, another nation with pretty girls and a connection to the 305 — and the jerseys aren’t bad either. (RELATED: Cristiano Ronaldo’s Girlfriend And Sister Go After Portugal Manager After He Benched Him In The World Cup)

Plus, have you been noticing how corporate America has been marketing the United States as a part of the Hispanic soccer culture in commercials, rather than a European-style culture?

Like this, for example, with “VAMOS USA!” (LET’S GO USA!) — which I love, by the way:

Both cultures are cool, so it’s no problem to me, and that’s another reason why I’m rooting for Argentina now. Plus, my man Lionel Messi is coming to Miami next year to play in Major League Soccer (MLS) for David Beckham’s Inter, and he’ll be owning 35% of the team as well. Me being the Daily Caller’s version of “Mr. 305,” I’ll go ahead and rock with Messi and Argentina. And they’re in the Americas, so why not?

And did I mention the fact that the Netherlands beat the U.S. to take us out of the tournament?

Yeah, my mind is made up: Go Argentina!
