Famous actors Chad Michael Murray and Bethany Joy Lenz both said they won’t watch their own mega-hit television show “One Tree Hill,” despite its widespread acclaim.

The actors discussed their time on “One Tree Hill” during a panel discussion at Christmas Con in Edison, New Jersey, on Saturday, according to People. Murray and Lenz share similar reasons for declining to watch reruns of the show. Both said they were experiencing transitional moments in their personal lives at the time of filming, and watching the program makes them relive those aspects of their pasts.

Murray said he is “deathly afraid” to rewatch the drama, while Lenz admitted she would be “terrified,” according to People.

The hit drama series aired from 2003 to 2012 and had a huge fan following, but for Murray, re-living those moments is “too hard,” he told the audience. “It’s a section of my life that I deleted,” said Murray, who starred as Lucas Scott on the show.

He went on to explain that he was in a state of personal transformation at the time of filming.

“A lot of development, a lot of growth as a human being, and [I] just deleted so much of it,” he said, according to People.

The 41-year-old actor offered an explanation. “I think we have hard drives, right? I’m probably like, you know when you get an iPhone that holds like 264 gigs: I’m down on a 32 gig phone because of old information, so booting everything up. So I think I’m deathly afraid,” he said.(RELATED: ‘You Got Things Going For Me’: Actress Says Career Was ‘Flatlining’ Before Pop Sensation Cast Her In Music Video)

Lenz shared the same view and echoed Murray’s fear of re-watching the series.

“When you think about where you were in your personal life, and the things that you went through, the mistakes you made, all those transitions,” she said.

“Watching those things can really bring back all the memories, embarrassing moments, things you’re ashamed about, choices you made that you’re not proud of,” Lenz added, according to People.
