Ryan Lomberg won this fight — no debate about it.

The Florida Panthers and Montreal Canadiens squared off Jan. 19, with the Cats hammering the Habs 6-2, but the record-setting performance from the former isn’t the only thing from this game that has people talking.

Late in the third period, Florida’s Ryan Lomberg and Montreal’s Michael Pezzetta ended up getting into a scuffle, with hair flying like they were two teenage girls fighting over a boy who doesn’t like either one of them. But those punches?

Somewhere Floyd Mayweather was smiling as the two threw solid haymakers for a straight 24 seconds.

Here’s another angle of the fight:

At first, it looked like Michael Pezzetta was going to win this one, but after a few seconds went by, Ryan Lomberg took control and started clocking Pezzetta — look at all of those head shots he got in.

I actually went back and counted, and I got six blows to the head from Lomberg on Pezzetta, and it could have been more with how quickly everything was moving. And that’s not the only reason Lomberg won. Notice how Pezzetta kept holding on to him in an attempt to stop his punches?

That’s a sign of defeat, and on top of that, Pezzetta only threw one punch after he started clutching Lomberg’s jersey. (RELATED: Ivan Provorov’s Jersey Sells Out After He Boycotts LGBTQ+ Pride Night Festivities)

Lomberg went to town on his ass.

What a performance by my Florida Panthers, out here dominating the game and the fight.

Shout out to South Florida, baby!
